When the sun really burns and the thermometer climbs far above 30 degrees, we dream most of all of a delicious creamy ice cream and a day at the sea. Nothing is more refreshing and puts you in a summer mood, does it?
That´s what you think: When it's really hot in the city, like at this year's Football World Cup, it gets really hot in our kitchen! You want to know why? Then we have the ultimate summer gourmet kick for you: Because calorie bombs like chips and co. make World Cup time pretty unhealthy in the long run.
We prefer low-calorie, fruity - and above all spicy summer snacks. Hot? Yes, hot. Because spicy, aromatic foods cool our bodies down effectively. Spicy spices contain capsaicin, which irritates the nerve endings, which in turn regulate the feeling of warmth. The blood circulation is stimulated when we eat it, we start sweating and the body cools down. By the way, our body does not perceive hotness as a taste, but as pain. And therefore releases endorphins, which then make us happy. Ingenious, isn't it?
Spice me up, baby!
Spicy dishes are healthy and make you happy. And we are really happy when Chili meets our 3Bears Porridge Pithy Classic. The secret classic mixture of different flakes makes our 3Bears Porridge creamy and at the same time wonderfully hearty. Our Oat flakes come from the traditional Rubin mill in the Black Forest.
3Bears Porridge is simply a fabulously digestible, light, low-calorie meal that gives you power and concentration for the whole day, either warm for breakfast or as a cold energy snack for when you are out and about with Overnight Oats. And this is how your porridge works perfectly: Porridge Preparation.
The very brave among you top your oatmeal with a pinch of cardamom as a spicy-sweet extra twist. By the way, the spice is effective against nausea or tiredness at hot temperatures.
Our all day favourite snack is clearly the spicy pumpkin granola with plenty of crunchy seeds and nuts. In summer we quickly chop up sinfully sweet apricot pieces. The small yellow fruits are true all-round talents, which contain among other things provitamin A, bioactive substances (carotene), B1, B2, vitamin C and antibacterial salicylic acid. So apricots are fresh, healthy beauty aids for nibbling away and fit perfectly into our deliciously light granola.
You can also enjoy 3Bears Porridge spicy with this recipe. A fabulously aromatic creation made from various ingredients that quickly turns into a spicy pumpkin crunch with fresh apricot pieces in the oven. Snacking is twice as much fun in summer with a clear conscience! Because one portion of granola has only 89 calories!
