Vegan banana-nut protein bars for athletes

Spring is already in full swing and summer is not long in coming. We make ourselves fit with lots of exercise in the fresh air and a good portion of vegetable proteins. Whether before or after training, with these power bars you are guaranteed to master every hurdle!

Ingredients | 8 Bars

  • 100g 3Bears Porridge Poppy Banana
  • 50g 3Bears Porridge Fruity Coconut
  • 2 tablespoons linseed (crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 50g walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 banana
  • 100g apple puree (unsweetened)
  • 1 tablespoon rapeseed oil
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 20g dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Line a 15x15 cm baking tin with baking paper.
  3. Crush the banana with a fork.
  4. Mix all ingredients (except the chocolate and coconut oil) in a bowl.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly, about 1.5 cm high, in the baking tin and smooth everything down with a spoon.
  6. Bake the bars for 10-15 minutes until they are golden brown.
  7. Let the dough cool down and after about 30 minutes cut it into eight equal-sized bars with a sharp knife.
  8. Heat the chocolate and coconut oil in a bain-marie until both have melted. Sprinkle the bars with it.
  9. Place the bars in the refrigerator for about an hour so that the chocolate can set.
